Happy Crafty Easter!

Hi everybody, I wish a Happy Easter to all of you that celebrate it, and for those of you who don't, I hope you are enjoying your weekend.
I have a card to share with you all. Since Monday, when I saw one of my crafty idols,  Laura Bassen's "Double Partial Diecutting" video on the Make it Monday # 207 at  Paper Trey Ink's blog, I wanted to give this technique a try. I love the result, and I have lots of fun making it! Thanks Laura!

ETA I'm adding it to Paper Players # 239 To Die For.

I'm also adding it to Simon Says Stamps Wednesday Challenge Happy Birthday
Thanks for visiting!
Have a blessed week.

Spring is in the air.

Hi everybody,
I know my title is only a wishful thought especially in Alabama, but us card-makers can bring up spring anytime, can't we?
So when I saw this challenge at Less is More asking us to use
YELLOW and GREEN
couldn't resist it, as both colors scream 'spring to me. I used the sketch at Case this sketch.

So here is my card.
I'm also adding it to  Simon Says Stamps, Wednesday challenges,Lady - girly , and to Simon Says Stamps Monday Challenges B for ... in my case, birthdays!.
Thanks for your visit, have a blessed rest of the week.

You warm my heart

Hi everybody!
I'm so excited, today I'm hoping with all my coffee lovers crafty friends. Amy Tsuruta and Chaitali put a lot of effort in organizing this hop, called 'Spring Coffee Lovers Blog Hop'
I had a totally different idea in mind when I was planning in taking part of this hop, but this week my beloved Big Shot died, so I'm not able to use any die cuts, so embracing the situation I did paper piecing instead. I used the sketch and picture of the Fusion Challenge
So here you have it

Love how it turned out, I used an old Hero Arts set ( CL 188).
Thank you for visiting! Have fun hoping!

ETA I'm also entering this in the Simon Says Challenge Wednesday "Anything goes" and Simon Says Challenges Monday "No Rules".

Santa in February?

Hi everybody!
Due to ice and snow (in Alabama!), I came home from work early today and I came straight to my playroom craft room and decided to play a little bit and join some challenges.
So, I made a card for Merry Monday # 146, using a Santa. I have several Santa stamps, but today I decided to use some of my hoarded pattern paper.
I used the sketch at Fusion card challenge

So here you have it.

All the papers are from "Lost and Found Christmas by MME".
And with the leftovers I made another one.

Thanks for your visit! Have a blessed weekend.

PTI Anniversary Month. I'm back!

Hi everybody!
It's been a while, hasn't it? So, here I am dusting off my old blog, as I'm itching to play in some challenges. It's not that I didn't craft at all all this time, it's just I didn't have the time to post, as I'm working more hours, and I didn't have good light to take pics etc.
But anyway, today I'm showing you what I created for one of the challenges at PTI's blog, which is make something inspired by the talented Maile Belles, so here is my take in this card of hers.

I used the stamp set "Flutter by", embossed in gold the images and sentiment and then water-colored the butterflies using distress inks.

Thanks so much for your visit! Have a blessed rest of the week.

Pure innocence

Hi dear crafty friends! I hope you had a wonderful week end, it was rainy here in Huntsville, just the perfect weather to spend crafting. (wink).
I've wanted to play at My Favorite Things Challenge Get Sketchy for a long time, and I've just found the perfect sketch to do it!
And here is my card.

This is the fist time time I'm using this Pure Innocence stamp, and went back to the basics and paper pieced that sweet image. Remember the old days when we didn't have matching dies and we have to use scissors for everything? I had so much fun doing it today. All the papers are from Lawn Fawn.
Have a blessed rest of the week! Thanks for visiting!

Latte thanks!

Hi everybody! I'm back, after a long spring/summer hiatus, and it feels so good!
Even though I haven't posted anything in a long time, I was crafting as usual, but in a more relaxed way, as we traveled  frequently, mostly camping.

So today I'm taking part in Chaitali's Coffee Lovers blog hop. I took the inspiration for my card from the sketch at the Fusion Challenge. I had several ideas in mind but I decided to make a shakers card, and the shakers inside are... you guessed it, coffee grounds, yay!, it smells so good! I used the cup die that came in this month's kit of the month from Simon Says Stamps (so timely!). For the back panel I used brown Bazzil card-stock and stamped and clear embossed a sentiment from the stamp set in the same kit.

This was fun! I'm so ready to keep playing. Have a wonderful National Coffee Day coffee lovers.
Thanks for visiting! Have a blessed week.
