Birthdays

Hi everybody! I hope you are enjoying your weekend.
Grey day in Huntsville today, the kind that makes you want to get crafty (smile).
I was playing 'catching up' today, as I had a very busy week and didn't do much during the week. I have several birthdays this week, I started with one card for my dear brother-in-law, I used the sketch from Seize the birthday # 13.
Here is my take

I'll be back later, as I'm planning on making at least one more card.
Thanks for visiting.

Always Thinking of you.

Hi everybody!
Many bloggers I admire often combine several challenges. I decided to do that more often, so today I made a card (but the idea was lingering since Sunday) using the colors from Less is More  LIME & BLACK and this sketch from CAS-e this sketch.

I'm a little late for CAS-e this sketch so I'm only linking it to LIM.
Thanks for visiting.
Have a blessed rest of the week.

Cupcakes for Simon

Hi everybody, I hope you are enjoying your Sunday.
Even though is pretty outside I'm in my craft room having a little fun.
Simon Says Stamps Challenge blog is celebrating four years, yay! I want to celebrate with them so I made this card.

I paper pieced the cupcakes and put some glossy accents on top of them, and I used a doily which I rarely do, but I do like it, and the sentiment is from SSS called 'Like your style'.
Thanks for visiting.

Good Sketches

As some people I know can't pass a good deal, I noticed about myself that I cannot pass a good sketch. (Smile)
It happened to me twice this week, this time when I saw this sketch at Freshly Made Sketches.
So, I had to play along. Fortunately this Friday I worked only until 3, so I had some time to get crafty.
Here is my card.

I embossed the sentiment with white EP, I still got some 'dots' of EP in places where I don't want, but as Salvador Dali said "Have no fear of perfection - you'll never reach it."
I hope you find some good sketches or something that inspire you.
Have a blessed weekend.

Flowers and chevron 2.

If you read my previous post, you know it was just a 'happy coincidence' that I use chevron and flowers for my card. So I decided to make another card with similar elements ( I still had averything on my desk), this time specially to link to the CAS-ual Fridays Challenge
Here is the second one, and I have in mind a third one, but I need to read the rules again in case there's a limit for the entries.
Anyway, here is my card.

This one I'm sending to Gladys, a 13 years old girl from Honduras that we sponsor through 'The Forgotten Children Ministries'.
Thanks for visiting, have a blessed weekend.

Flowers and chevron 1

Hi everybody, during the week, visiting Lynn's blog, I saw this card.   I like everything she does, but for some reason that card stuck in my mind, so on Thursday evening I made a card using this sketch  at Tuesday Morning Sketches. It's my first time playing with this challenge, I love the sketch.

As CAS-ual Fridays stamps is the sponsor this week, I decided to use one stamp of the set "Exclamations' which has several funny sayings like 'OHMYGAWSH' (My favourite), smile.

This is my take on the challenge.

The funny thing about my card, is that on Friday visiting the CAS-ual Fridays challenge blog (I spend too much time visiting blogs, I know) the challenge was to use Chevron and flowers, so I'm linking this to that challenge too.

Thanks for visiting, see you later.

Scallops

Hi everybody!
I have some time to play today, so I made a card using scallops, according to the 'recipe' at Less is More. So here is my card, challenging myself to go 'CAS'.

I'm also entering this card to this challenge and this one at the fabulous Simon Says Stamps, 'Anything goes'
What do you think?
I made another card last week for a different challenge at Less is More, and when I was ready to send it to a friend, I thought it needed 'something' so I added some leaves and ribbon. Am I cheating the CAS? Ooops...
Here is the 'improved' version.

That's all from me today. Have a blessed rest of the week.
