Happy thanksgiving

Hello crafty friends! I hope you are having a great week.
I haven't posted in a while, it's so nice to get inky again.
I made three cards last night. I'm posting here the first one that I made using the sketch of the Fusion Challenge # 20, and the colors in the picture.

That beautiful sentiment is from 'Harvest expressions' by Inkadinkado, that I stamped in Versamark ink and embossed with Recollections embossing powder color "Pesto" (Funny name, isn't it?).
The papers and the beautiful leaf are by Lawn Fawn and came in the October SSS card kit.
Thanks so much for your stopping by and for your kind words of encouragement.

Happy Mail for Grayson II

Hello crafty friends!
I hope you are having a wonderful week. Mine started busy, but I'm glad I finally have time to post the cards I made for Aydan (Grayson's older brother and their parents), so here they are.
On this card I didn't stamp at all. The paper is Bella Blvd "Pack your bag" collection. The ships and plane are wood veneers by Studio Calico that came in the SSS September 2013 card kit, and the waves are die cut borders that had on my stash for a long time.

On the second card I heat embossed with clear embossing powder the words 'Believe' and 'Love' both by an old set by Stampin Up!,  to color the background I used distress ink and the focus image is by SSS 'Giving thanks' that came in the Oct 2013 card kit. It looks better IRL, anyway just wanted to share.
Thanks for stopping by today and have a blessed week.
I'm linking the card for Aydan to Monday Challenges at SSS " Nautical".

Happy mail for Grayson

Hello crafty friends!
I was on vacation last month, when I saw this announcement on the Neat and Tangled blog, about a new card drive for Grayson.

Unfortunately, I didn't have any crafting supplies with me, so this week I made a card for Grayson.

The clear stamp is a freebie that came with Issue 111 April  2013 of Papercrat UK magazine. I colored the image with watercolor pencils. I die cut the letters that spell Grayson in turquoise and white cardstock, to make  a shadow (unfortunately hard to see on the pic), then coated them with glossy accents. I stamped the sentiment from the same set with brown ink and embossed it with pearlescent embossing powder. On the inside I put one strip on the background paper and one of the turquoise cardstock and stamped "This card a big hug" that came in the August card kit by SSS.
I made 2 more cards, one for Aydan, (Grayson's older brother) and another one for the parents that I'll share soon.
I think it's never too late to send them, and I hope this could bring a smile on Grayson's face.
I'm linking this to Amy's blog and Simon Says Stamps Wednesday Challenge.
Thanks for your visit and enjoy your weekend.

Merry Everything

Hello crafty friends! I'm back! Yay! I've been out, travelling for almost the whole month of September, visiting family abroad. I had a wonderful time, but I am happy to be back.
It took me over a week to catch up with everything and finally yesterday had some time to get crafty.
I made this card for this week challenge at CAS(E) this sketch.

I was truly inspired by the samples and love the sketch! I decided to make a window card with 'floating' Christmas trees, inspired by this one made by one of my Crafty Idols Kristina Werner.

To suspend the trees I used fishing line. Behind the window I put a 4" by 5.25" piece of pattern paper to cover the space where I'm going to write my message for the recipient. I really like my card, it feels so nice to get crafty again and it was a good way to start my Christmas cards stash for this year.
Here is another view

All the papers are by Stampin' Up! and the tree die is by Hero Arts. The sentiment is by SSS.
Thanks for visiting! Have a blessed week.
