Holiday Style

Hi dear crafty friends!
I'm taking an online class called Holiday Style, and enjoying every minute of it!
I'm always slow with the homework, but as I didn't work today, I had some time to play with my inks and stamps, and I want to share my card with you all, (I imagine most of us are frantically creating Christmas cards).
So, on day 2 of class the teachers gave us lots of beautiful inspiration on clean and simple cards. Mine was inspired by this  card by Kristina Werner.

So here you have it. If I have to make this card again I would use a white or silver embossing powder for the sentiment to create a better contrast. I used distress inks for the background and then spritzed water with perfect pearls and it gave a beautiful shimmer to it. The sentiment is by Stampin Up! and the main image is by Stampendous.
Thanks for visiting, have a blessed rest of the week.

Sending Love and Prayers

Hi there sweet crafty friends!
I have a colorful card to share today. I took a wonderful class at Online Card Classes, called "Exploring Mediums". As usual, I'm behind with my homework, so today I'm using Zig Clean Color real brush markers, which we "explore" on Day 1.
I used the sketch by CAS(E) this Sketch and the Butterfly Drift die by Simon Says Stamps, I colored the inside of the butterflies with the markers in rainbow order and them embossed the border of the die with silver embossing powder.  For the sentiment a used the Sending die by SSS and then embossed it with the same embossing powder, for the love and prayers part of the sentiment I  used my Brother label maker. (I wanted to use those words but for unknown reasons my stamp doesn't stamp all the letters?).

And that's all from me for today. Have a blessed rest of the week and I hope to see you all soon.

NBUS - Happy Birthday!

Hello crafty friends! I hope you are enjoying your weekend.
I had lots of fun today, I finally had time to make 2 cards for my coworkers who have birthdays this month.
I used new (to me) dies from Simon Says Stamps and Cole's ABC by Lawn Fawn, so I'm entering this in my bloggie friend Darnell's challenge NBUS # 5.

 So here is my card

It's over sized because 12 of us are writing messages for her.
I'll be back later in the week to share my other card. Have a blessed week!
